GARY TRIES THE EXCAVATOR
Here at my horse ranch, we are going to build an indoor clay-court tennis pavillion. Well it needs to be 60'x120' and so if we flatten out some of my hillside, it gives me 20' more of land with which to build my tennis pavillion.
So Josh rented an excavator. There are a lot of handles and buttons and he let me try operating it, and as you'll see I can't do it.
He then got in it and decided to use it like a baseball bat and whack down a tree... check it out!

GARY AND MELISSA AT NFL GAME
I don't know much about football. "Thread the needle" is kind of a weird term that I heard while watching a Venus Williams match at the U.S. Open. Since I don't really watch football a lot, I was shouting one of the only terms I know. (Well that and "move the chains"). But the pass really was incomplete.
MY APARTMENT IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE
For two summers, I stayed here in Villefranche which is between Nice and Monte Carlo in French Immersion School. It is the most awesome vacation ever because you get an apartment and 9-5pm Mon-Sat it is all French Immersion. I would walk to school with my book bag and a banana in it, and I'd do my own laundry and cooking often and it is such a different life than I have when I am in North America. It's a very simple life and it reminds me of when I was a college student.

OUR FIRST VISIT TO THE RANCH
This ranch was formerly called, "Twin Creek Ranch" and was a celebrated horse breeding ranch, home to spectacular show horses and thoroughbreds. It had an interesting history under the last owner, fell into foreclosure, and I purchased it in June of this year.
We've renamed it to "Blue Moon Ranch" and it is undergoing an extensive reconstruction that has been going on for months. We expect it to be finished and in move-in condition in September.
Oh it's also going to be the location of our upcoming wedding :)

JULY 4 2006 WITH AMY AND JANEY
OK here's the story. It was the 4th, and Amy and Janey came down from Santa Barbara to hang out with me in Marina Del Rey, and my condo there is on the 9th floor with a dead nuts awesome view of the fireworks show.
But no, we decide to take the HMS Kelowna out into the harbor to see it in from the water, but then I had just had eye surgery so I couldn't really captain the yacht. So we docked it, but it was so low that the show got hidden by the building in front of us.
NICOLE DRAGS GARY AROUND ON THE PORTERCASE
I was trying to demonstrate that my portercase can easily haul 200lbs, so I had Nicole demonstrate it but she's an idiot.
WORLD CUP PARIS CRAZY
This is the streets of Paris after they scored the first goal in the world cup. They eventually went on to lose, and the streets were dead quiet.
Road to Villefranche
In the summers of 2004/2005 I spent a month in Villefranche, France in french immersion language school at the Institut de Francais. Villefranche is between Nice and Monaco, and it is beautiful.
During those stays, I rented a SMART car and that was fun!
YACHT TRIP TO CATALINA
Join us on the HMS Kelowna's Maiden voyage across the pacific from Marina Del Rey to Catalina Island!

SPEEDBOATING ON WOODLAKE
My Woodlake Beach House has a great pub right across the way with a little dock... so I can go from my dock to theirs and have a great dinner.
ROME - You are there
A video of the view from the balcony of the Exedra Hotel, going through the coliseum, and dodging through traffic on scooters.
MELISSA AT THE PIANO
Melissa doesn't know how to play the piano. But if you play the song over and over again, it's kind of catchy.
